Story so far ...

The party is asked by the elders of Overlook to travel to the village of Talar, located Megan Swiftblade and escort her back to Overlook. They reach Talar without incident, but as they are waiting in the local inn, an earthquake hits the area and the party must escape the inn, rescuing the other patrons in the process. When they come to their senses outside, thy see that a flow of ooze is rolling down the hill from a nearby tower, destroying the village as it passes. From within the ooze, movement attracks their attention and elemental creatures emerge and attack the villagers. After defeating the chaos elementals, the party heads out to the tower. There they notice it has started to sink into the hill. They party enters the tower and meets up with Megan Swiftblade. The party volunteers to enter the tower in search of the missing sage who resides here. The sage kept some monsters for experiments and they escaped during the incident. The party has to fight their way through them. The find the sage and learn that the creatures responsible have retreated beneath his tower. The party descends and discovers a shadar-kai witch accompagnied by githyanki and troglodyte warriors is trying to activate a portal. They also discover the origin of the ooze. The party defeats the witch and her companions and can stop the ooze from further spreading.
